Will Eisner: The Spirit of Sequential ArtSeptember 2007-January 2008 Will Eisner, the son of Jewish immigrants was born on March 6, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York. By the time of his death on January 3, 2005, he was recognized internationally as one of the giants in the field of sequential art, a term he coined. His early life and experiences growing up in New York tenements would become the inspiration for much of his graphic novel work. |
